Today, as I remember Charlie Kirk, who I only recently became aware of, I am reminded of the words of Jesus recorded in John 12:24: “Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.” I call this ‘the death of the seed principle.’
In my neighborhood as in many of yours, people who planted more than one tomato plant per household member can’t get rid of them fast enough this Fall. If one tomato seed produces one tomato plant, how many seeds will that plant yield? Towerlandscapedesign.com states the following:
- Cherry Tomatoes: 50-100 seeds
- Roma/Plum Tomatoes: 100-150 seeds
- Regular Slicing Tomatoes: 150-300 seeds
- Beefsteak Tomatoes: 200-400+ seeds
Those numbers are per tomato! The productivity rate of one “dead” seed is mind-blowing.
Tyler Robinson intended to silence Charlie by killing him. His vile action has rendered just the opposite. People who didn’t even know of the existence of Charlie Kirk before his death are now well aware of his life and his message. Charlie’s legacy is not silenced by his passing, nor diminished by opposition. Like the kernel of wheat, his life and work have been sown into the hearts of millions across the globe, destined to yield a harvest that multiplies far beyond what any of us can see. Charlie’s life produced much seed. How much more will his passing produce, based on ‘the death of the seed’ principle?

Charlie Kirk was never content to remain a single seed. He spoke truth with conviction, courage, and clarity, inspiring countless individuals to seek wisdom, stand for integrity, and engage in the cultural and public square with faith and boldness. The ideas he championed—the dignity of every person, the value of freedom, the necessity of virtue—are now carried forward by those he touched. They are carried by those who loved him as well as those who disagreed with him. His voice echoes through the many voices he empowered, and his passion is rekindled in every mind he awakened.
Let us never forget: the work of a courageous soul cannot be silenced, because truth cannot be buried. Every life Charlie impacted is a seed planted, growing into new strength, new hope, new resolve. The world may try to silence a messenger, but the message—rooted in eternal truth—continues to multiply, nourish, and inspire. Today, we honor Charlie Kirk not by grieving in silence, but by carrying forward his vision, speaking with conviction, and living with the purpose and faith that defined his life. His voice will not be silenced. His legacy has only begun to grow.
- Tomato seeds can stay viable for 4-10 years when stored properly
- Some gardeners have successfully grown plants from 15-year-old seeds!?

Charlie was a catalyst, an igniter. What ignites you in your day-to-day life? Is it worth dying for?
Beautifully written my dear friend. I have heard from several young friends how Charlie Mirk help to change their world view and their political viewpoints. Praise God that Mr. Kirk’s death is NOT in vain. God is using his death even MORE than his voice in life. PRAISE GOD FROM WHOM ALL GLORY COMES!!
May many bold, effective, loving, winsome ones rise to take his place. Thank you, my friend.
Thank you for this ignite.
My thought is make me a bold witness for Jesus ❤️
“The word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” “Alas, Sovereign Lord,” I said, “I do not know how to speak; I am too young.” But the Lord said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am too young.’ You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you. 8 Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the Lord. Then the Lord reached out his hand and touched my mouth and said to me, “I have put my words in your mouth.” Jeremiah 1:4-9h
Go forth, mighty one!
