Twenty-seven years ago, these two naive, starry-eyed kids said, “I do.” Who knew what all these years held for us?

Promises matter. Keeping promises matters. I do not take for granted that we are still together.  Needless to say, we have encountered a list of challenges I won’t exhaust you with. In reality this has been a miraculous journey for us. Only God has kept us together. Only God.

The transformation in my life in the last twenty-seven years is untold. God has used Justin to form me in areas I didn’t even know existed, let alone needed some low-grit sanding. I am forever grateful that God brought him into my life for the manifold formations and transformations that make me who I am today. I am glad I stayed, even when my bags were packed and I was done. I said in Napping in Delilah’s Lap (I have that on sale here as a special for our anniversary: Napping in Delilah’s Lap – Further The Faith Please read it!) that God had blessings for me that are wrapped up in this man. No wonder the enemy constantly seeks to break us apart.

As we continue – to complete each other’s thoughts and sentences; to grow truly in love; to be vessels of transformation into the image of Jesus – I look forward to two more batches of 27!
